Travel Award

Eligibility:

• Less than 7 years after obtaining Ph.D., M.D., or an equivalent degree
  
• Able to make a poster or oral presentation at the symposium
  
• Certification of trainee/postdoc or student status by a respective mentor

Travel Award Amount:

• $1,500 USD – Fifteen (15) International travel awards
  
• $1,000 USD – Thirty-five (35) U.S. travel awards (20 awards will be reserved for alcohol-related research)
  
• $1,000 USD – Ten (10) Physician Scientist travel awards (supported by AASLD)

If awarded, you will incur your travel expenses and submit your original receipts for reimbursement after the meeting. Specific reimbursement instructions will be provided to the awardees.

Travel Award Application Instructions:

Applications due on or before May 15, 2010. Complete travel award application and submit your one-page, single spaced abstract beginning with the title, authors, and affiliation(s) and CV (biosketch) to Rosy Macias at rmacias@usc.edu. Your mentor must sign the application form to certify your trainee/student status.
